The sun is shining bright, and you’re enjoying the day outside. Don’t squint! Make sure you have sunglasses that will not only protect your eyes, but will be chic, too. Not sure what’s up this season? Here are some tips for choosing the best for summer 2011:
(1) Know your face shape–round, square, oval, long or heart-shaped. Choose frames that create balance. For example, if your face is round or if you have round features (like I have a round nose, cheeks and chin), then select frames with angles. None of the retro round shades for me! If your face is more angular (square or heart-shaped), then you need a rounded frame to soften the angles of your face. If your face is long, try frames that have some depth (2 plus inches from top to bottom) or over-sized to create some width in your face. You don’t want anything that is too small or narrow–these will make your face look even longer. Oval shaped faces are in luck…they can pretty much wear anything!
You may have recently updated your wardrobe (with my help, of course) but, when was the last time your make-up and skincare regimen was re-evaluated? Please join me for a fun evening of make-up “tips and chips” as we celebrate Cinco de Mayo on MAY 4th from 6-8pm at The Rouge Make-up Studio in Danville. Owner, Theresa Grutzeck, will treat you to a complimentary make-up application, complete with instruction on the how-to’s for your most beautiful eyes/cheeks/lips. Hair stylist, Tanis Wallunas, will be on hand to give you ideas about a possible new ‘do. Have questions about spring fashion trends? We’ll talk wardrobe while sipping margaritas, too! If you’ve got a friend who’s been toying with the idea of a wardrobe/style makeover, please bring her to this event! Potential clients are more than welcome 🙂
Please RSVP to me at firstname.lastname@example.org prior to the event. Space is limited, so email me right away! Looking forward to seeing you!
Everyone LOVES the amazing and gorgeous shoes at Footcandy in Walnut Creek, right? I know I treasure my pink patent leather Manolo Blahnik’s I bought there a few years ago 🙂
Anyway…if you appreciate the look of an expensive designer shoe, but your wallet doesn’t, then you absolutely MUST check out the “Footcandy Collection”! The styles are classic and elegant, yet very on-trend, the quality is outstanding…and the prices are UNBELIEVEABLE! The pointy-toe pump (“Candy”) costs $240, while the peep-toe platform (“Lover”) is $260…Can you believe it?!?! Check out the variety of colors and styles (see photo)–they will easily mix into your wardrobe. An ABSOLUTE MUST for a holiday wish list…if you can wait that long!
