There are fundraisers, and then there are REALLY, REALLY fun parties that raise money for charities…
Wine, Women & Shoes is BEYOND really, really fun, and the proceeds benefit the St. Rose Hospital Foundation.
Save the date on your calendar NOW, tell your girlfriends and make it a girl’s night out!
If you love shoes, you can’t miss this event. Hope to see you on March 29!
Every December (and throughout the year as well), I receive phone calls and emails asking if I provide gift certificates. The answer is: OF COURSE, I DO!!!
Giving your spouse/friend/mother/father/sister or brother “the gift of style” is a WONDERFUL gift. Countless people say to me “What a great gift you would be for (fill in the blank)!” My response is: I AGREE! And now is the perfect time to make someone you love “beyond thrilled”. The perfect recipient is someone who…
*is celebrating a milestone birthday this year
*has experienced a dramatic weight change
*puts him/herself last on their to-do list
*is re-entering the workforce, changing careers, newly promoted or a recent college grad/retiree
*hasn’t updated their style in 5-10-15 years (or more!)
*loves the show “What Not To Wear”, and would appreciate a fashion intervention
*has too many clothes, and needs a closet clean-out
*is overwhelmed by shopping, and therefore, doesn’t
*would like to feel great EVERYDAY! (And who wouldn’t want that?!)

Recently, Localgetaways.com writer Kristine Givas wrote some wonderful things about my favorite East Bay shopping destination. Check it out:
When I think about great shopping destinations, this seasoned spender envisions the energetic vibe of SOHO or a great sample sale in NYC. Yes, I’m a bit spoiled and admittedly intolerant if I can’t find unique items or if it’s a chaotic scene. But guess what? I’ve discovered a new favorite destination that fits all of my holiday shopping requirements—Walnut Creek. (Yes, The Creek!) Not only are there oodles of unique boutiques, major designer shops, and great department stores, but I also found one-of-a-kind beauty, dining, and drink spots that I will return to again and again. If you’ve never shopped The Creek, you will be blown away by everything it has to offer.
“Las Vegas” and “Style” can be an enormous contradiction in terms! If you’ve been there, you know. Dining in a Five-Star restaurant, cruising through the casinos, and relaxing poolside people are wearing EVERYTHING under the sun. A t-shirt and shorts stands next to a bridal gown, while a too-skimpy party dress hobbles by in too-high stilettos…the best people watching EVER!
I was recently in Las Vegas, and I cannot tell you how many trainwrecks I saw. However, this is not the “Glamour don’ts” blog, and I do not mock people for their choice of outfits…although, sometimes they clearly deserve it. I come from a place of understanding and helpfulness. We all have talents, and sometimes that one’s not at the top of the list. That’s ok! It’s why I’m here. 🙂
Last week, the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a Business Showcase at Diablo Country Club. The event was wonderful for networking and tasting food & wine from local restaurants. Of course, I was keeping an eye out for the most stylish attendees. Here’s a sample of “Danville Style”:
