Since September, I have had the pleasure of working with my intern, Jillian, through the iQuest program at San Ramon Valley High School. She has been invaluable to me–taking photos at fashion events, helping me organize my client contact info, and guiding me through the world of social media. Recently, she accompanied me on a “fashion field trip”, and today, she is my guest blogger. So, it is my pleasure to introduce to you…Jillian Grabenstein:
Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or you just need to get away, Yountville, California is the perfect place to escape! My husband, Jeff, and I experienced a wonderful weekend there recently, as we celebrated twenty-seven years of love and marriage.
In the many years of living in the Bay Area, we have been to Napa “I-don’t-even-know-how-many” times, but we’ve never taken the time to hunker down in one of the towns that make up our nearby, wonderful wine country…until now. So, let’s tweak our thinking a bit–perhaps less about looking young, and more about looking appropriate and relevant. Not a problem when the art of dressing a “grown-up” woman is mastered. Some Do’s and Don’ts to consider:
I’m not gonna lie…
When I went to Loehmann’s in San Ramon for the LAST TIME today, I got a little emotional. Ok…I cried. Why? The store is closing!! (Don’t laugh)
Here’s the deal…I have been a Loehmann’s–the original designer discount retailer–customer for literally 30 years! My dear friend, Lisa, introduced me to the store during our freshman year of college at ASU. And ever since, I’ve been hooked.
