Producing fashion events is one of the most fun aspects of my job, so when the folks at The Studio, Danville asked me to coordinate their Spring Social and Fashion Show for members and guests, I jumped at the opportunity. I’m especially excited about the theme…”FABULOUS AFTER FORTY”!
“Is this outfit too young for me?”
“I think I look like my mother!”
“How do I choose which trends are right for me?”
Learn how to solve the challenges that women 40+ face with their wardrobes at a fun and informative fashion event! We’ll talk about tips for dressing appropriately (while still looking youthful and current), and how to down-play your not-so-favorite body parts, while focusing on the parts about which you feel great! We’ll also look at the 2015 spring trends, and discuss how to interpret them into wearable looks that project your personal style with confidence!
Your “run-around-town-getting-stuff-done” clothes don’t have to be fancy, by any means. Adding a pop of FUN to your wardrobe in simple ways—a cute t-shirt, a print scarf or a colorful handbag—can work wonders on a basic casual outfit. These five women have got it goin’ on…SNAP! Throw in a bit of whimsy to your everyday wardrobe, and you will stop traffic with your personal style, too!

Watching films by day, attending parties by night is a tough job, and I’m in! As I packed (and I mean PACKED) my car for the 5-day festival, my strategy was to bring fun, comfortable and appropriate outfits for all the events I would be attending. Full disclosure: I brought 2 leather jackets, 6 slacks, a bunch of sweaters & tops, 7 party looks and 13 pairs of shoes! I think I may have over-packed a little.
The following are some of my favorite looks (on me AND others) from the week’s events:
Margo has been a C2 Style client since 2003. This is her story:
“Ok, so packing freaks me out. It literally stresses me out more than any other part of the trip. I worry about what I’m going to take on a vacation weeks before the actual event. I stand looking in my closet without knowing where to begin. I figure I will have to buy a new suitcase to accommodate all that I’m going to have to take with me for my 3 week trip to Europe. Then, I remembered…Carolyn!!!
