Producing fashion events is one of the most fun aspects of my job, so when the folks at The Studio, Danville asked me to coordinate their Spring Social and Fashion Show for members and guests, I jumped at the opportunity. I’m especially excited about the theme…”FABULOUS AFTER FORTY”!
Jetting off to an exotic vacation this holiday season? If you’re spending the holidays in Mexico, Hawaii or cruising the Caribbean, feeling relaxed and looking effortlessly chic will guarantee a “successful” getaway. Here are a few of my favorite resort fashion finds:
Watching films by day, attending parties by night is a tough job, and I’m in! As I packed (and I mean PACKED) my car for the 5-day festival, my strategy was to bring fun, comfortable and appropriate outfits for all the events I would be attending. When you think about it…if you’re not aging, then you’re dead, right? The reality is that while you’re getting older, gravity is taking a toll, “muffin tops” are popping out, and a woman’s internal thermometer may be running on the warm (bordering on the hot and sweaty) side. So, let’s tweak our thinking a bit–perhaps less about looking young, and more about looking appropriate and relevant. Not a problem when the art of dressing a “grown-up” woman is mastered. Some Do’s and Don’ts to consider:
