Shop with C2 Style
Watching films by day, attending parties by night is a tough job, and I’m in! As I packed (and I mean PACKED) my car for the 5-day festival, my strategy was to bring fun, comfortable and appropriate outfits for all the events I would be attending. Full disclosure: I brought 2 leather jackets, 6 slacks, a bunch of sweaters & tops, 7 party looks and 13 pairs of shoes! I think I may have over-packed a little.
The following are some of my favorite looks (on me AND others) from the week’s events:
A short story from a client:
When special events like school auctions approach, I am usually in denial regarding what I’m going to wear. I have a few black dresses, but this time I wanted something more festive. This year, the theme was 007 James Bond. I knew I wanted to wear something fun and special, but I felt uninspired. I also didn’t want to break the bank (it was a fundraiser, after all). What did I do? I called Carolyn Rovner!
I’m not gonna lie…
When I went to Loehmann’s in San Ramon for the LAST TIME today, I got a little emotional. Ok…I cried. Why? The store is closing!! (Don’t laugh)
Here’s the deal…I have been a Loehmann’s–the original designer discount retailer–customer for literally 30 years! My dear friend, Lisa, introduced me to the store during our freshman year of college at ASU. And ever since, I’ve been hooked.
San Francisco Opera celebrated the opening of its 91st Season last week with a gala opening night that was beyond all expectations.
San Francisco Opera Guild’s sold-out 2013 Opera Ball: The Garden of Good and Evil was created by celebrity event designer Colin Cowie to reflect the celestial and devilish themes of the evening’s performance––late 19th-century Italian composer Arrigo Boito’s Mefistofele. I met Colin at at recent luncheon held in his honor, and he was very engaging and extremely excited about the upcoming gala.
