Watching films by day, attending parties by night is a tough job, and I’m in! As I packed (and I mean PACKED) my car for the 5-day festival, my strategy was to bring fun, comfortable and appropriate outfits for all the events I would be attending. Full disclosure: I brought 2 leather jackets, 6 slacks, a bunch of sweaters & tops, 7 party looks and 13 pairs of shoes! I think I may have over-packed a little.

What did I do? I called Carolyn Rovner!
A very intimate lunch was hosted by the San Francisco Opera Guild at the newRoka Akor restaurant in San Francisco on August 14th in anticipation of The Opera Ball 2013: The Garden of Good and Evil, taking place tomorrow, September 6th. The opening of San Francisco Opera’s 91st Season will feature an ambiance created by Colin Cowie, internationally acclaimed designer and celebrity event producer.
San Francisco Opera celebrated the opening of its 91st Season last week with a gala opening night that was beyond all expectations.
San Francisco Opera Guild’s sold-out 2013 Opera Ball: The Garden of Good and Evil was created by celebrity event designer Colin Cowie to reflect the celestial and devilish themes of the evening’s performance––late 19th-century Italian composer Arrigo Boito’s Mefistofele. I met Colin at at recent luncheon held in his honor, and he was very engaging and extremely excited about the upcoming gala.
